Summit 2020 lends an effective and meaningful platform to facilitate communications among specialists, key leaders, influencers, activists, and allies and help identify collective priorities for the future

Positive changes will only spring from a solid foundation of unity and collectivism. And they begin with each of us. Let’s give ourselves love, live optimistically, and inspire others to speak up and act for a Just and Well future of the LGBTIQ+ community. I am proud to be an ally and ambassador of Vietnam LGBTIQ+ National Summit 2021. I aim to promote diversity, respect, and compassion for LGBTIQ+ people in our society

It takes more than one to succeed. Therefore, let’s do this together! Summit 2020 was my first experience attending Vietnam LGBTIQ+ National Summit. I got to network with many individuals. And I had the opportunity to learn about many stories that moved and made me proud. Reflecting upon such stories, I have felt more and more motivated to continue my activism for our community. Stronger Together Summit is not just a conference but it is a congregation of families. All of us as family members accompany and protect one another and make sure that no one is left behind. And we together head to a better future.

This is my first time attending such a grand-scale LGBTIQ+ conference. I just have to commend the conference committee for their enthusiasm and professionalism. Summit 2020 makes me proud because Vietnam has abundant LGBTIQ+ activism human resources. Everyone adds their persona to the movement. More importantly, I have gained much more knowledge, networked with many individuals, and expressed my thoughts. Summit 2020 has helped me better understand myself and expand my acceptance of more diverse identities. I would like to highlight every participant’s strong mission to drive Vietnam toward a better future for the LGBTIQ+ community

Summit provided me, a young activist, an opportunity to talk about the activities and missions of the GLG network with other LGBTIQ+ community members across the country. Engaging sessions with a variety of themes and diverse LGBTIQ+ visibility brought unity, familiarity, and collectivism to every single one of us. I would like to thank Stronger Together Summit for congregating many parties in our community and delivering such a meaningful and diverse conference. We only have one chance to live. Therefore, let’s live, try our best, step out of our comfort zone, and achieve the meaningful life of our dreams!

For me, Stronger Together Summit 2020 was: A tremendous push for the movement for rights and equal rights of LGBTIQ+ people. It is safe to say that 2020 was a year for all of us to critically reflect upon past events, COVID-19 related impacts on the development of our community then strategize adaptive responses if appropriate. A warm and loving family that allowed us, different parties from various cities and provinces, to find each other and feel overwhelmed with much safety and support from allies. A vast information hub that helped us gain knowledge on how to take care of our own health as well as protect others A ray of hope that motivated us to believe in our objectives and more importantly to amplify the voices in our community in discussions with governmental agencies and non-governmental organizations across Vietnam.

When I first attended Stronger Together Summit I was surprised yet pleased by the dedication and professionalism the LGBTIQ+ community brought. I was moved by everyone’s endless dedication to activism and extension of unity and inclusion for other marginalized groups. This year, I hope Summit can include more themes on how to overcome COVID-19-related challenges, both physically and psychologically. I have encountered many individuals who were devastated by job loss and their family struggle

Stronger Together Summit 2020 fuels continuous efforts for those on the journey of activism for equality for our community. The conference lends the platform for problem solving, extended success, and resilience-based collaboration. In the near future, such activities can bring a more democratic, just, and civil society closer to the LGBTIQ+ community in Vietnam

Participating in this year’s summit as a first-time speaker, not only was I amazed by the professionalism in all parts of the conference’s organization but I was also moved by the much dedication of many individuals that may have not been of notice. The conference comprehensively included all affairs particular to the LGBTIQ+ community. What is special about Summit 2020 was that it emphasized and particularly concerned mental health issues

If anyone could have said that the LGBTIQ+ community ‘achieved equality’ then when coming to Summit 2020 every participant became aware of greater needs to striver further in our activism for the rights of LGBTIQ+ individuals in Vietnam. Until then, we truly achive our equality and not anyone else’s

Summit 2020 was truly a special and meaningful event. It was an opportunity for my organization and others to identify new strategies for future LGBTIQ+ movement activities in Vietnam in general and various provinces in particular. For me, I gained much knowledge from Summit 2020 as well as got to network with many important organizations that would have significant contributions to my organization’s future development
